Lydia’s in Foxdenton Together (L.I.F.T.) is administered by Chadderton Together and this activity hub is based at Lydia’s Tearoom situated inside the recently renovated pavilion at Foxdenton Park, Foxdenton Lane, Chadderton. The cafe is named after Lydia Ernestine Becker who was a pioneering leader in the early suffrage movement. Lydia Becker used to live in the adjacent four hundred year old Grade 2 listed Foxdenton Hall
The LIFT hub alongside Chadderton Together (registered charity number 1164788) arranges various events and activities inside and around this beautiful park including history walks and trails, children’s play days, themed talks and park events.
Lydia’s Tearoom is a not-for-profit cafe that provides a secure room which is available for hire when the tearoom is closed to the public. Stacking tables and chairs for both inside and outside use are provided. The chairs and tables can be stored away, if desired, to allow for an open floor area. There are male, female and disabled toilet facilities. Free car parking is available directly across from the main park entrance.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE FOR LYDIA’S TEAROOM
Lydia’s Tearoom is available for hire to individuals and organisations for various types of functions and meetings. It is normally available on weekday mornings and evenings when the tearoom is closed. It is available at other times by arrangement and subject to availability.
LIFT reserves the right to decline any offer for the hire of the facilities.
These and conditions along with a completed booking form signed by you will form a legally binding contract once a receipt for the hire fee is paid.
The law governing this agreement will be English Law.
LIFT provides the room, tables and chairs. The use of any other facilities will be at the discretion of LIFT.
All bookings will be chargeable by the hour.
While all equipment is maintained and serviced regularly we accept no liability in the event of any of the equipment failing. Any kitchen facilities and equipment used MUST be left in a clean condition. We reserve the right to levy any costs of any cleaning required.
All rubbish should be placed in the external refuse bins provided.
Payments: Payment can be made via BACS, cash or by cheque payable to Chadderton Together (2019) Ltd and should be presented with sufficient time to clear prior to your event.
Indemnity: The client agrees to indemnify LIFT for all losses, damages, claims, costs and expenses incurred or suffered by LIFT arising out of or in connection with the client’s use of Lydia’s Tearoom pursuant to these terms and conditions. This indemnity covers, by way of example only, any damage beyond fair wear and tear or disrepair to fixtures and fittings.
